618 Sinovac vaccinated medical workers get Covid-19

Recommended Posts

After being fully inoculated with 2 doses of the Sinovac vaccine, more than 600 medical workers have been diagnosed with Covid-19 infections, according to the Public Health Ministry today. A total of 618 hospital and medical staffers have been infected with Covid-19 despite having received the Chinese-made vaccine. It was not confirmed whether they were infected with the Delta variant that Sinovac has been proven to be ineffective against. Over 677,000 workers in the medical field received two doses of Sinovac when vaccination efforts began in Thailand in February. Data from the Public Health Ministry from the beginning of April […]

Nothing irresponsible in that message the entire world knows the fact that the Sinovac is pretty much a last resort for a vaccination. I guess the vaccine now has the honor of being the one that will kill you when taken. Dont see any other vaccines killing people out there. Just the one from China.

... then you are most surely not looking in the EU, US and UK vaccine adverse reaction databases (+20.000 alleged covid-vaccine related deaths already in the 6 months since vaccine-rollout).

Please report responsibly. Sinovac may not be the best vaccine, but no vaccine prevents infection (look at highly vaccinated countries). The vaccine  should make the consequences of infection less serious.

There's nothing irresponsible about that story.  It's factual.  More than 600 hospital workers caught the virus, though they had been vaccinated.  There's nothing incorrect here.

It may not be couched in a way you would prefer, but there's nothing irresponsible about reporting data.

Sinovac is not even the worse one... Sinopharm will win this battle.
However, I keep repeating what I've been saying already I'm not a doctor but friends of mine actually are highly skilled in both DNA and RNA. These have told me that Sinovac isn't the worst choice in Thailand.

If Thailand didn't give me AZ on vaccination day and would've provided me with Sinovac that would've been OK too. Sinopharm would've let to a NO THANK YOU.

Sinovac is what has been used in India too and people there have now been boosted with Moderna.

However "catching" the virus.... it still doesn't say anything about the state they are in or any of the variant they've got which as statistical as I'm would be of my preference.
I think these people got it but are still working forces.

The statistics:
Data from the Public Health Ministry from the beginning of April until yesterday shows that 618 of those later were infected with Covid-19. Of those infected, 1 medical staffer is in critical condition and 1 nurse has died from the disease.

618/100=6.18 = 1% so currently we didn't even hit 0.5% where at 0.33% (2.03 which for sake of argument I'll call two) of which half has died, that's bad R.I.P. nurse and the other one still has recovery possibility.

stats

I read over on TVF that 7 medical staff have died thus far. Most probably as they will be getting exposed to extremely high viral loads with sub standard PPE and no doubt working tirelessly trying to stem the tide of this damn plague.

yeah but died since when beginning of covid perhaps? Doesn't make it less worse ofcourse but it also doesn't stop the stats I put in.

It's factual, but it also shows low professionalism. The article fails to present the full context from the beginning, that is they are 618 over 677.000  (less than 0.1%), providing the number of cases twice in the first 2 sentences, and the total persons inoculated only at the fourth one. The normal reader reads quickly, and often does not go beyond the title and the first couple of sentences, thus receiving first the impression that 618 is an enormous number and elaborating that the vaccine does not work, when actually it is not this. That is subtly misleading.

Well the PM paid for the Chinese Vaccine and i here they have began manufacturing it in Thailand. like it not thats what the locals will be getting it, the millions of Moderna or AZ promised will only be given to hi So's  and government family's, all this were giving it to the elderly and Medically infirm is just Fabricated nonsense to give what Thais want to here. To the members on here that deniers i received a message on my facebook of a Specialist Hospital set up in the grounds of San Phrao University in Udon Thani to treat Covid Patient's. They have asked people to donate because they are desperate for basic hygiene needs food and other personal items. The deniers do not need to Donate as they believe this is all Bogus.

The article isn't clear about what kind of protection the Chinese vaccine gives.  But some things should make you worried:

-618 infected people. Why were they tested after the vaccination?  Did they get ill and decided to take a test? That would be really bad. And probably this is the case, because I cannot imagine that they test vaccinated people without symptons of Covid.

-the 7 deaths. Although it is not clear from which date.

-the decision to vaccinate all people again with Pfizer. Probably the people who made this decision know more than we know. They wouldn't do this if the Chinese vaccine worked, or at least gave protection against serious illness and death. There is a shortage, no reason to waste these vaccines on already vaccinated people without reason.

Looking at everything I think the Chinese vaccines are the vaccines to avoid, unless you really have no other choice.

ALLEGED.

The credibility all depends on who did the alleging.

I thought it was like 1/618x100 ?  From the people who got ill 0.16% died. And that number will go up, because not all people recovered yet.

"really bad"?

What would actually be worse, though, is the reality that if 618 were infected, got ill, had symptoms, and were tested, then probably several hundred more were also infected and infectious but they didn't get ill and weren't tested.

Yes we could see the problems in Brazil, Chile, Indonesia etc. They had huge problems with Sinovac and the infectionrates went up and up after vaccinations with Sinovac there and they had to change the vaccines because of the problems with Sinovac.

But isn’t it you know who still buying yet another 10,000,000 of these things again from China and with knowing it is literally not anywhere near up to par? What is that all about since they know we are in a different stage of the pandemic now. Who is it about appeasing? China? The Thai investor? Thai people who are scared? Eating at the trough? Just doesn’t make a lot of sense on the surface level. For me there is no way me and the family have ever considered jabbing that in us. The big problem was them not opening up long long ago to other vaccines and only giving approval for this and then the other. Well the other is not so bad, but then where is it as they profusely promised? Sad state of affairs.

Correct. Come on Thaiger. Don’t feed this nonsense that vaccines should make you immune. Can you find out how many of these people went in to actually need hospital treatment (not enforced imprisonments in hospital) and how many unfortunately died from these infections?

Here in the EU less than 50 in total (maybe even less than 30), so that should make for 19950 in the US and uk.
Funny we have heard or read nothing of that.

Just last week there was a study published from Chile that concluded that Pfizer is 5x more effective at preventing the *infection* than Sinovac, although this study was based on data prior to the Delta variant breakout, so it might not be relevant anymore.

Other studies suggest, however, that Sinovac is completely useless against the Delta variant, while Pfizer provides better protection but only for a few months even after the second dose.

Funny we have heard or read nothing of that.

According to ECDC’s COVID-19 Vaccine Tracker, from the beginning of vaccination in the EU/EEA up to 28 April 2021, a total of 133 739 633 EU-approved vaccine doses have been administered in the EU/EEA countries. During the same period, 354 177 (0.2%) cases of suspected adverse reactions after vaccination were reported to EudraVigilance.

Suspected deaths as a result of covid-vaccination currently stands at approx +10.000 (while it is well-known that there is vast under-reporting in the data-base).  Given that figure, the  30 to 50 deaths you claim is simply not credible.

Early June dr Tess LAWRIE issued a preliminary Yellow Card report (Yellow Cards are the UK equivalent of the US's VAERS and EU's Eudravigilance systems).

Yes, I used the word 'alleged' in my statement re covid-related deaths in the EU, US and UK vaccine adverse reaction databases (+20.000 alleged covid-vaccine related deaths already in the 6 months since vaccine-rollout).

The problem being that it is a matter of "damned if you do / damned if you don't".

These vaccine adverse reaction database systems have been set up to provide early warning signals.  Hence there is deliberately no restraint on reporting any suspected adverse vaccine effects.  And so these reports are 'suspected' phenomenon which should trigger further investigation.  But unfortunately that intent seems to be not understood by those that dismiss all these reports because 'there is no evidence' that the suspected adverse effects are caused by the vaccines.  And those database systems do NOT foresee updating of the reports when evidence turns up later (e.g. an autopsy after an alleged covid-vaccine death).

It is actually a scandal that the governments that set up these adverse effects tracking systems, did provide 'full indemnity' to the vaccine manufacturers for any harm their products could cause.  And that they did NOT insist on a rigorous vaccine follow-up tracking system of the experimental jabs.  The non-vaccinated control-group in the initial Phase-1 and Phase-2 trials have even been vaccinated in the mean time, so there is not even a longer-term control-group anymore.  We are flying on automatic pilot with nobody at the helm, let alone knowing whether we are going in the 'right' direction.  Spooky...
