A Singapore couple says they are grossed out after finding a live worm wriggling around on their sashimi at a popular Japanese restaurant chain. Protein?  The Japanese, and their Korean mates, eat far worse than worms. Come to think of it, so does my g/F, frogs, black beetles, all manner of flying and crawling stuff, such as locusts, Rice Beetles, snakes in season etc.
