One positive of a cashless society is that you can’t lose cash.

Why would anyone carry that much money on them? I can understand 20-30k if you just went to an ATM, but more than that is asking for trouble. Assuming he's telling the truth - no surprise if he isn't.

May seem like a lot of cash to have at one time, and definitely not too bright to be carrying it around - but most of Asia is still very cash oriented.

Only when bad things happen to the Chinese does the local Thais Govt bend over backwards to trace the culprits and apologise on behalf of the Thai people. Not strange that Thai Govt not apologising to the Indian Government over this.
