British fugitive Richard Wakeling, wanted on narcotics trafficking charges, was arrested in Bangkok on Friday. The National Crime Agency of the UK requested cooperation from Thailand’s Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) in the arrest of the man from Brentwood, Essex. The 54 year old Wakeling had been sentenced to 11 years in prison for attempted amphetamine smuggling …

It’s good to see this. I often wonder how many other fugitives are hiding out in Thailand. There were rumours a few years ago about an American guy living in the Rayong area. I heard one night in a bar he was approached by another guy who asked him outright. The suspect American was never seen in the area again. Time up, or just moved on?
