1. Why is it off topic? the topic is about Thailand offering more flight from the KSA.

2. are you really that important that you could jeopardise your life in Thailand? This is about the KSA and the attitude of Thais

Well the topic is about more flights, your rants about oppression and dictatorshipthe world over, amusing though they are, kind of are slighly skewed. 😆

I don't mean my life literally. I mean my liberty. And as I'm sure you're aware because you're happy to spend your cash in the moral nirvana of Thailand, there are certain things best left unsaid publicly if you value your liberty. You get it yet? 🤔🤔️

The South Asian taste is for something a little chunkier, as well.

Indeed. So looking at the way things are going, they should be happy.... 😆

Yes the topic is about more flight. But in my opinion, this is a bad ide looking to encourage more flights from the KSA.

However. It seems we need to agree to disagree. Your view of encouraging repressive regimes by allowing their citizen to have a normal life and mine, are at opposite ends of the spectrum. The whole point about different countries requiring varying visa requirements, all the way to imposing travel bans, is how you signal diplomatically to countries like the KSA

Which has nothing to do with flights from the KSA. This isn’t a morality issue on where and how I spend or you spend money. If you take it to that level then you couldn’t spend money anywhere. This is about a national government encouraging the behaviour of another government. You keep deliberately avoiding my central point, which is that by encouraging more travel you are saying to the dictators in the KSA that we (Thailand) have no issue with how you behave. This is not even about individual Saudi people. I have worked with Saudis and they are just like anywhere else. Some good some bad. This debate is about how international affairs take place.

But it is to do with you taking some kind of moral high ground, and failing to practice what you preach by continuing to spend your money in Thailand. I guess principles go out the window in warmer climes with cheap beer and easy on the eye women.

Nothing to do with that. I’m not a government setting the policy of a nation. Your attempt to bring in my own individual spending is a great attempt at deflection but I’m not having it. So good effort, but back on topic of why Thailand should not be encouraging regimes like the KSA by allowing mass tourism from the repressive nation.

Whatever..

You think more flights are bad.

I think they're good. That's it really.

I've got nothing more to say, other than I look forward to seeing more Saudis stepping off the plane soon. If you don't like it, that's your problem.

No I don’t like it and I think the Thai government are misguided. It’s obvious they have little in the way of international norms when they are prepared to entice Saudis and Russians in order to make money. These things don’t help Thailand in the long run in my opinion.

They are quite deliberately signalling that they aren't going along with the Anglo imperialist project anymore. It's the same with sanctions against Russia. Only the US, the 5 eyes and the occupied countries of Germany , Japan and S.Korea are going along with sanctions.
