That Thai Elite Card is nothing more than a "legal" way for Chinese criminals to purchase their visas and get well-treated by the fawning government officials that come in contact with them.

Money...makes everything possible in Thailand.

The grand majority of Elite holders are not Chinese criminals. Everyone I know who has Elite got it because they were ineligible for the retirement visa (under 50yo), and wanted a legal solution for staying in the country long term.

So, you know lots of people in this program?  Know any Chinese in this program?

From November 5, 2022, published here, at The Thaiger: "The number of new Chinese nationals who have joined the Thailand Elite Card programme has risen steeply from 1,100 in 2021 to 3,100 this year, growth of 185%. Yuthasak Supasorn, chairman of Thailand Privilege Card, operator of the programme, said the number of new Chinese members had risen from 1,100 in 2021 to 3,100 this year, overall number of Chinese members in the programme reached 7,350, the most of any country."

Now perhaps "grand majority" wasn't the best phrase, but I'll settle for "the most of any country".
