The officers were sceptical of this claim, stating that the quantity of drugs found was too large.

so the cops don’t pay that large an amount but they do pay their informants smaller amounts. I am not even remotely surprised.

No surprise here. I have heard many stories over the years from different sources that informants were previously busted then made a deal making them sort of slaves in a sense keeping them out of prison time. Drug users, bar girls who got trapped up in something having something as dirt used against them to not be released etc. Who knows, I personaly don't believe any of this stuff tryi ng to taint their image

in the end ........ you can go where ever you want - maybe with countries or continents you need to change the level within the authority

the game is pretty similar everywhere .....the fairytale of the small bad cruel drugdealer might be good enough to most people back to sleep , at least they won t speak up than

One of the sections in one of the UK police forces that I supported (their IT) did exactly that - they had informants that were allowed to commit certain low level crimes in exchange for useful information on the more serious stuff. It was one of the few offices that I had only escorted access to.

Yep. Here it is more on some level like for girls of being owned fully under their control. Or so I have heard. Different levels for different people caught up in stuff.

You have to admit, it's a cost-effective way to keep a snitch.  No cash outlay, just redistribute drugs confiscated in other crimes, which would probably otherwise be destroyed.

It's economical.
