Great! But why, I ponder, would anybody "invest" in something that doesn't exist if the lights go out?

Is this like a spiritual St Christopher to give safe passage through the ether .. is it like tangeable and do you wear it when playing crypto stuff .. and what happens if all your bits go crashing through the floor .. can you get a refund ..

 It's like a spiritual St. Christopher giving safe passage through the ether.
But it's not tangible.  It's not an amulet you wear.  Rather, it's a symbol of faith in safety and success in the cryptocurrency world.
If your crypto assets depreciate, it doesn't mean you can get a refund.  It simply reflects the volatility of the market.
However, there are ways to minimize the risks.   I recommend using USDT (Tether) for stablecoins.   Tether is pegged to the US dollar, which makes it more stable than other cryptocurrencies.
