The mind boggles how the taxi industry will interpret this one.

Think we can expect a huge of number of misinterpretations, of course to the financial benefit of the taxi driver.

so about a 14% increase to step into a taxi, curious how much of an increase for mileage.  video talked about what they are now charging but didnt really say what the old rates where.

Yes because we all know how expensive taxis in Bangkok are!

Is this fare increase going to stop these Taxi thugs not putting on meter and not tempering with the system? I think not.

Get,  and then keep taxi fares in line with running costs, and tie it to much tighter regulation. Sorry, that was a stupid thing to say - it's Thailand we are talking about.
