The DDC reckons. Better they just say ass-u-me. There is absoultely no one here in Thailand who believes the next huge wave of covid or that of a newly mutated version will not be brought in and spread by the Chinese. Can jusdge this by other worldly news of what is and has just currently happened from Chinese travelling.

Would love to be a fly on the wall at departure check-in in China and see just how many of these walking disease carriers are actually confirmed as legitimate double-dose vaccinated. Or doesn't that apply to big brother, just the patsy other visitors?

Fly on the wall in a hazmat suit. If any Thai flights then I feel sorry for the aircrew having to be forced to deal with the Chinese just alone but also adding in the home lab grown virus carriers.

I am a Paramedic that works overseas in remote settings. I have been doing my best to manage and mitigate infections from spreading on Ships, production platforms, Oil Rigs, ship yards and other facilities since the start of this mess. I can tell you what any medical director would say if I allowed in Chinese tourists without proof of vaccine or PCR test... You are fired. If someone got infected they might actually take legal action against me.

I am not a vaccine freak, I am vaccinated so I can keep my job. I am not a mask freak, I wear my mask in a clinical setting, when the rules say I must and voluntarily if I am feeling even the slightest illness. I don't believe in forcing people to inject things into their bodies, its not my body or my business.

However if you are coming from a place with tens of millions of infected people and you don't even have a Pre arrival Covid test.. Oh brother! Dont tell me that isn't going to lead to an outbreak... no point even arguing the point here... we can discuss it in 90 days... I don't need to be a psychic to figure out how this is gonna end. You have a better chance finding a bar girl with a heart of gold, college education and no interest in your money.

The disappointing, if not slightly scary thing for me in all of this, is that it shows the world has learned very little from this pandemic. The Chinese are doing as they always do and just lie. Other countries are playing politics and the WHO is flapping around with politically correct statements. We are so pathetic.

Add Switzerland to that cave in too.
