Pattaya police suspect that a British tourist who jumped off a pier on Saturday had mental health issues. Anyone wish to offer an explanation that the safety features of the pier were inadequate?

It is described that the poor fellow may have been undergoing a mental episode, but it is a rather odd way to resolve the issue unless he believed his love to be a sea nymph. I am of the view that this was the result of some bad recreational drugs.

Why would any actions be taken against him? Would the grounds be littering in the sea? Failure to obey? If it's the struggle, surely everone has the right to refuse help, including the right to defend that right?

Looks like many mentally unstable persons are travelling to Thailand to try their luck....
