China is striking back as governments around the world are making policies for Chinese tourists entering their countries. Every country has its own rights to protect its people and borders. It is not that when you open, everyone in the world has to open for you. Where were you when all the countries open their borders and you were under strict border control measures? Why grumbling now as cry baby. Face it. That is the reality. Like you, everyone has their own rights to implement. You have isolated yourself from the rest of the world when the entire world is suffering from the pandemic. Now the entire world have recovered but you are in your own cocoon so far. Now suddenly you are emerging out with under developed wings and expect the rest to help you fly. You have to fly on your own. Go back to your cocoon and try to get full development before you can really fly.

They follow a zero Covid policy unsupported by any scientific evidence and then claim countries placing extra checks on people from China is non-scientific. You literally can not square in your mind what is going on with them. Part of the problem I have is that I give them too much credit and assume their is some form of perverse logic to their thinking. In reality, its 100% lies and spin. I thought most societies teach that lying is a bad thing, even a sin. In China it seems to be a virtue.

I am getting fed-up with countries that do not accept the rights of other countries to take reasonable security measures and then indulge in reprisals. 

Although Iran does not immedately fall into that category, they have spent the best part of 40 years, taking innocent  hostages as a method of resolving disputes with other countries.

I recall the 2016 European Nations Cup finals which were held in France. English hooligans were quite rightly arrested, charged with crimes and then deported. Russian "Ultras" were just deported. This in turn led to the French Ambassador being summoned by the Russian Foreign Minister so that Russia could protest. I would imagine that the reason the French were so circumpsect, was that they didnt want to have to deal with even greater reprisals with the World Cup being held in Russia in 2018.

Now we are seeing China threatening reprisals because some countries are trying to do, what they have been attempting for the past three years and have failed at. 

I really think the time has come for the world to come together and act collectively to try to put a stop to this. 

China's response is particularly hypocritical, in that they purport not to interfere or criticise other countries policies, but here they are attacking public health measures designed for the security of the nation.

It should also be noted, that though there had been a few cases of Covid in the UK, it really began to take a hold following the return of Chinese students from their New Year festivities in Wuhan in 2020. In less than a month, we went from 30 cases to over 1000, and a month later it was 100k.

urgh.. was so easy to just globally block any arrival from China/ go into strict lockdowns locally where it was starting to spill. At the time the CCP had blocked all outbound traffic from Wuhan except international flights. Maybe it should have rung a few bells.

Lets hope not. I do not want to see anyone ill regardless of their posts or views. We all hold strong opinions on some topics but at the end of the day we will ALL agree about 90% of the time on other subjects.

We are all human after all. With the possible exception of BigH and his bloody quizzes. I gave him a list of acceptable subjects and he has steadfastly refused to do a quiz about any of them.

Same old story, China lie and people die. They started this virus and lied to the world from day one. They deliberately sent their people overseas to infect everyone everywhere.
