China has been experiencing a giant wave of Covid infections, but still intends to open to allow their citizens to travel abroad next week. Many people are weary that this may usher in a new major outbreak of Covid infections in Thailand and surrounding countries. Thailand allowing unrestricted access to the Chinese without testing or isolation is going to be a massive mistake.

Some flights from China to Europe are showing a 50% infection rate among passengers.

Only 5 days left before 8th Jan. Any booster vaccine takes at least 7 to 14 days to get the needed immunization to the body. I wonder how they are going to achieve that?

Need anyone say enough? This is the biggest mistake the two  bigwigs mentioned in this article are making. Hopefully it ruins their status and makes them get out. Just say no- to the Chinese Tourists.

Don’t understand this request. All senior health officials, including virologists have said there is no risk. So what’s all the fuss about?…..

Oh, think I’ve got it now. It’s what we in the West call “covering your ar*e”. If the proverbial brown stuff hits the fan, they can blame it on those pesky people who failed to get a booster. Got it now…

Our good friend Anut, minister of health, seems to be mysteriously absent from any comments on this subject. ????

Maybe he is too busy getting organised to meet every Chinese plane and hand out free masks.

He's good at that.🤣

Yes indeed. Conspicuous by his abscesses. I fear for everyone if he ends up being PM.

It's all well and good to tell us to get a booster, but where? Here in the tourist city of Chiang Mai there are two locations. One is out of the city and only open a few hours on part of the week and the second is in the city and only open a couple of hours per day.  Unless there is a significant increase in locations and hour/days there will be almost zero response to this upcoming wave of infectious Chinese who are supposed to pour into the city for lunar new year and beyond. A disaster is looming and the authorities are asleep at the wheel.

DESPERATE ! That’s what the Thai  government must be to allowed unrestricted access by tourist from a country like China with a huge covid infection problem. It highlights both the government’s and the general’s close ties with the CCP. Maybe purchasing another Chinese submarine, or air craft carrier, is in order.

The sad part is that most tourists from other countries won’t be aware of this. We are, as it’s the news and we look at Thai news. I bet if you walked through a plane on its way to Bangkok and asked people about it, most wouldn’t be aware what’s going on. If they did, I reckon at least 25% would choose not to go.

Let’s see what the imbeciles come up with by way of a “plan” tomorrow. I’ll be amazed if it changes much and probably full of uncertainty. Thick as the proverbial pig poo !!
