“Palestine” existed only as a British mandate term for 30 years…. otherwise even Arabs called it Greater Syria. Very Few Arabs there, outside of Jerusalem, for 1300 years… until Jews bought the poor overpriced land from absent Arab landowners, and farmed it .. starting around 1880….then tens of thousands of Arabs showed up … working for Israelis …..Arabs had done nothing with the rock desert land for 1300 years after conquering it … then these immigrant farm workers started calling themselves “ Palestinians”.
