Do the navy only follow Thai meteo services? We fommowed at least 3 different sources.
Plus 100 miles is only a small distance in shipping.

Every couple years or so there is a major incident in one of the world's navies. Not just 3rd world ones either. They all look the same in hindsight. Incompetence is always involved. That's just the way it goes. The Thai navy hasn't had a sinking in decades

Last time a British Royal Naval ship sank was in May 1982 during the Falklands conflict. HMS Sheffield. That’s 40 years ago and was during combat in waters 8,000 miles from its home port. This Thai ship sank in Thai territorial waters.

Yes. But here's the list of major incidents just involving submarines in the 2020's

2020Edit

Hoegh London collision with South Korean Navy submarineEdit

On July 15, 2020 05:00 UTC, Norwegian merchant ship Hoegh London (IMO 9342205) and South Korean Navy's Jang Bogo-class submarine collided near Gadeokdo island, Busan, South Korea.[48][49]

2021Edit

KRI Nanggala (402) sinkingEdit

Main article: KRI Nanggala (402)

On April 21, 2021, Indonesian Navy spokesperson First Admiral Julius Widjojono announced that KRI Nanggala had failed to report for a post-maneuver brief following a torpedo live fire exercise in the Bali Sea off the coast of Surabaya, about 95 km (51 nautical miles) north of Bali, in an area where the water is 700 meters (2,300 ft) deep.[50][51] The submarine was declared sunk on April 24, 2021 18:00 (GMT+7) by Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces Hadi Tjahjanto at a depth of 700–800 meters below sea level.[52]

At a press conference held on April 25, 2021, the 53 crew were confirmed lost

USS Connecticut (SSN-22) collision with seamountEdit

On 2 October 2021, USS Connecticut (SSN-22) was damaged after she collided with a seamount[55] while maneuvering in the South China Sea.[56] About eleven sailors were injured, though none were reported to be life-threatening, and the submarine's propulsion system and nuclear reactor were said to be operating normally.[57] After an investigation, the commanding officer, his executive officer, and the chief of the boat were all relieved of duty.[58]

An electrical fault that was caused by a massive intake of water through the exhaust vents, causing pumping equipment to fail. Either a design fault with the vessel type, or poor ship handling. How can you blame a meteorologist?

All the ones you listed involved more than one vessel and/or a live firing exercise. This was a Thai navy ship operating on its own, pottering around  in territorial waters. The incidents you listed may well be mistakes and poor decision making, but this RTN incident is in an incompetence league of its own.

Exactly. They blame everyone other than themselves.
