Southeast Asia’s trafficking problem is rearing its ugly head again, after a group of Thais managed to escape slavery for a Chinese call centre gang in Cambodia today. The call centre is located in the border town of Krong Bavet. The group of seven Thais posted a Facebook Live video asking for help early this morning. This will be a never ending story globally. Every part of the world is facing such incident. Yet the  greediness of the people and looking for something quick is the main cause in human for such things to happen

Significant payoffs have and are being made on both sides of the border. But the “telling” constant to this whole “forced” labor epidemic is the fact that naive people believing the promises and lies  of big money for simple work. Desperation leads to poor judgement.

Sadly trafficking is a global problem and until there is a global will and co operation to stop it it will continue.
