A Phuket truck accident injured three people in front of a school on Thursday. A pickup truck overturned, and crashed into another pickup truck in front of Thai Rath Wittaya School on Wichit Songkram Road in Kathu district.  CCTV footage of the incident found that the driver of a black pickup truck lost control at a curve before overturning and crashing into a white pickup truck. I hope it happened during break-time. An event like this serves as a great extracurricular lesson that'd take months/years/decades/forever to teach in a regular way.

Fun fact: the actual news of the article is barely 1/3 of the article itself (measured in words and ignoring the last sentence, the one I found funny because it tries to tie it all together in a desperate attempt to reconcile  the inflation).

Based on my personal observation, nearly 30% to 40% of the pick-up trucks on the roads are modified for carrying heavy loads. These drivers will be easily speeding at an average of 100 -110 km speed with heavy loads. (I am pretty sure as my average riding speed is 90 - 100km). However when empty their feet on the accelerator will be the same level of compression and image at what speed it could travel at that situation. This leads to the lost of control in a split second. Unless something is done regarding the modification of these vehicles, such incidences cannot be avoided forever....

Yeah speed and load are a problem with these trucks.
