A coffee shop in Bangkok learned the hard way about a new twist on the classic overpayment scam. They somehow managed not to suspect the con when a smartly dressed man entered their shop and placed an order of a whopping 550 coffees, put into bottles. Brown envelope syndrome strikes again. And old scam, a few times flogging stuff on eBay I have had overpay and cash back offers, but this is the first time I have heard of it happening on in person.
