Would this be a "story" if he was trying to steal a motosai, a TV or a cellphone?  Probably a very small one.  Put the word "cannabis" in the story and the political know-nothings will latch onto it like it was manna.

This is not a story about cannabis, so why even point it out?

Nothing wrong with including the info in the article about what they were stealing but the headline’s undertone is “cannabis is causing murder.”
