It appears Europe has finally woken up to Sleepy Joe’s foreign policy and US profiteering from the Russia-Ukraine conflict. The war in Ukraine has been blamed for higher fuel costs, the rise in inflation, austerity, and an economic meltdown throughout the world. Yet everything in the US garden appears to be rosy, profits are blooming and life goes on as normal without a struggle – unlike life in Europe. But public opinion is fast shifting regarding the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the people of Europe are waking up to how the US is benefiting from the struggle in the former Soviet […]

People of Europe are not wake up to US profiting and also not to Norway which both supply gas to Europe.

Also in US is not everything rose as suggested. Prices go up there too according to my daughter life is very expensive too.

Public opinion is not shifting as suggested.

What is definitive shifting is that the opinion that Europe cannot rely on US military safety for ever and that Russia is a real danger.

Some companies always profit when there is a war and arms associated businesses more than any of them. Whether it be large or small weapons, munitions, technology, aircraft/drones or uniforms and American companies dominate these areas so no surprises really. Somer other country has to step in and supply the gas now not provided through Russia so why not Norway?

This is not news, but an OPINION piece and should described as such. The author is biased and the giveaway is the adjective "sleepy" Joe, one of former President Trump's  derogatory terms for the legally elected president of the USA. More annoying is the  unsubstantiated claim that "everything in the US garden appears to be rosy, profits are blooming and life goes on as normal without a struggle – unlike life in Europe." . This is just not true, and the Republicans would argue the exact opposite. Inflation is at a 40 year high, and wages have not kept up. The USA isn't profiting from the war in Ukraine. On the contrary, that war is draining billions of USD off and it is directly benefiting Europeans.  The US economy is about to undergo a  dramatic shift once the higher lending rates take effect. The increased cost of borrowing will hit all levels of government and industry which borrow to fund large projects. There is a bloodbath underway in the technology sector as higher paying jobs are shed. It is reported that the big US investment banks are preparing to layoff their investment bankers & advisers. This is what happened back in the 1980's.

If anything, a larger burden of the war expense should be sent to europeans like Italy, Germany and France. It is ridiculous that the US shoulder much of the expense, Even more preposterous is that Canada spent in excess of $2 billion while many European countries contributed relatively little.

I suggest that if one wants to find profiteers, look at the usual European  money launderers in Luxembourg and Switzerland, and ask the Chinese and Indians what they are doing.

Unfortunately Europe relied far too much on the USA for defence.

Europe is trying to buy energie where possible even in middle east.

author is biased.

I think he just want to get attention.

cheap article with little real actual content.
