One should be wary of this kind of information about Iran.

Iran, like Thailand, is a country free of the US empire and is regularly demonised in the media.

A report that the Iranians were going to stone a woman to death for adultery made the headlines in France.

Then it was reported, by reliable sources, that the woman had poisoned and killed her husband in order to live with her lover and that she could not be stoned to death as this had not been practiced in the country for years, but hanged.

The country is not linked to Al Qaeda or Daesh terrorism either, but is a victim of it.

The terrorists of Al Qaeda and Daesh are Muslims who follow the Sunni Wahhabi current propagated by the Saudis, whereas the Muslims in Iran follow the much more moderate Shiite Islam.

And while Islamist terrorists mainly kill innocent civilians when they carry out attacks in Western countries, they kill politicians and military personnel in Iran.

There is also a large Jewish community in Iran and Jews in government.
