I wish there was more detail about this issue. The story says people in Laos were spotted watching the World Cup. So what?  How does that automatically translate to a failure to encrypt by Thailand? Many bars and restaurants I’ve been to in Thailand are streaming the games via an Android box using IPTV services. My understanding is that the games are “free to air” in Thailand and hence anyone with a DVB television or set top box can receive the broadcasts? There is more to this story than what’s being reported.
