How can a country takes care this poor creature when the people themselves are struggling to make ends meet in the country. Better Thai government set up a fund to bring it back to its mother land so that at least it can spend its last few days peacefully.

Something must be done immediately to end the poor creature’s misery

Shoot it. Clearly no-one cares for this animal beyond paying lip service so end it’s misery. You gotta be cruel to be kind and this poor animal has had more than enough cruelty for one life.

I would never pay or encourage any form of Zoo other than in a handful of countries. Certainly not places like SriLanka or Thailand. The same goes for street “entertainment” with animals such as feeding or riding elephants. You expect responsible governments and people to protect animals. That’s why 95% of countries treat them like crap.
