A New Zealand expat has been arrested in Phuket for possessing several weapons, including 11 explosives. The man, 63 year old Gareth Alan Davies, was also found to have 19 guns and ammunition in his house in Kathu district. Region 8 Police Commander Surapong Thanomjit said that Davies had claimed that the weapons were just collectables. But Commander Surapong said that police were skeptical about this, due to how many weapons they found, Thai media reported. Personally I think he could be a weapons dealer or he could just be an enthusiast.  its likely his wife bought some of these guns for him so he could indulge his hobby and hes been practising in his house hence the sound dampening equipment. Or hes a huge black market arms dealer. The police probably mistranslated collectables. 

Lets wait and see if this develops into an more exciting story or not.

As an alien, he has no right to bear arms in Thailand, regardless of his native Countries laws.

In 2017, Thailand amended the Firearms, Bullets, explosive objects, fireworks and Fake firearms Act to permit only Thai citizens to own or use the above.

Probably not a bad idea it's bad enough giving these Falang cheap beer and now hash.

You see the damage they do on mopeds never mind giving them firearms.
