The Tourism and Sports Minister says that if the Phuket sandbox is a success, he will have talks with the Finance Ministry about allocating soft loans to tourism operators. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn says the loans would come from the government’s 500-billion-baht borrowing and would help tourism operators prepare for an October re-opening. The government forced these businesses to close, the government should be providing the money so they can re-open, no loans needed, just provide the money.

The PM and the rest of the Hi-so should start putting their hands into their pockets and donate something to the people because let's face it, they have done nothing to date.

I have a suspicion that they want to act sanctimonious and change the image as do not want some businesses to open back up. So with soft loans you have to qualify and not be given them based on the fact you had a business and it is your right. I would also think they don't want to give free money out from what they control. Now for the new alcohol fine proposed to be 500,000 to anyone who shows alcohol or even a brand mascot logo in anyway being pushed, a bright person would think there is much more to everything than meets the eye. Up here in  CM you can see the business that closed and the devastation that has hit this region.
