A young half-Thai half-Scottish man made headlines in Thai media this weekend after swimming 30 kilometres from Ao Nang beach in Krabi province, southern Thailand, to Poda Island and all the way back again. He is a good swimmer, for sure, but: Did he swam a detour? One way Ao Nang-Poda Island is "just" about 10k. And that is from Ao nang center, not the beach.

So who made the story even "more impressive", but could not leave out, that it is not a "simple Thai", but a lug krueng?

You clearly didn’t get the message! He created awareness for the pollution in Thai waters! The distance he actually did is totally irrelevant!

It must have been the Scottish part of him that did it because he realized he left an unfinished beer on the bar at Poda Park.
