Academics in Thailand welcomed news yesterday that Chinese leader President Xi Jinping secured an historic third five-year term as general secretary of the ruling Chinese Communist Party. President Xi’s third term will be viewed as undemocratic and autocratic by the Western powers but Thailand’s top boffins believe continuation is the key which will benefit the kingdom and ASEAN countries. The comments of the so called academics show their hypocrisy when the call for democracy in Thailand then welcome a dictator.then  speak about America's aggression towards but forgetting about  China complete destruction of Hong Kong democratic values? A good reason why I take limited notice of any Thai academics. Robert Sisaket

I think the ramblings of a bunch of wannabe academics teaching in universities that barely make it to the top 1,000 best universities isn’t worth listening to. May as well listen to the opinions of Ralph down the local Deli.
