The surprises just keep on coming in British politics. Yesterday, the people of the United Kingdom were shocked when Liz Truss crossed the Rubicon, though not the one you might think. Around 1.35pm UK time, yesterday, the world’s worst-ever prime minister tottered up to the microphone outside No.10 Downing Street and offered her resignation. The announcement came just a few hours after Truss became eligible for what’s called the Public Duty Costs Allowance — essentially a pension. It’s a government reimbursement plan for “staff and salary costs incurred by former prime ministers arising from their special position in public life” after […]

No the people in the UK were not shocked by her resignation. Betting Offices were taking bets for over a week as to when she would resign (or asked to resign). It was a question of hours, days, weeks or between now and Christmas. Shambolic is an understatement when it comes to politics and the politicians representing the UK.

Time for Nigel Farage et al to re-emerge and stir things up somewhat.

Nigel Farage was the first Politician in along time that put the Country before his own political ambition when he helped deliver BREXIT (promises made promises kept).

If we had a House of Commons filled with MP's of the same mold we wouldn't be in the state we're in.

P.S glad to see Truss gone she was a remainder at heart.

Farage is the biggest political charlatan this country has ever seen. A compulsive liar (even worse than Johnson) who thought he was for the good life and destined for a peerage after the Brexit vote.

He stood in seven general elections to become an MP and failed to win any of them. He has stated several times his admiration for Enoch Powel.

None of the promises he made have been kept. Illegal immigration to the UK has gone up since Brexit.

Ah the voice of the SNP I'd rather have Nigel Farage as PM than your leader Nicole (Krankie) Sturgeon.

He's a man of principle with the Countries best interests at heart.

As much as I  dislike The Conservative Party they need to get their House in order as the alternative of Keir Starmar and his left wing lunatics is unthinkable.

P.S What was wrong with Enoch Powell everything he said came true.

Brexit has nothing to do with the increase of illegal immigrants. It's the French Authorities who couldn't give a toss about the amount of rubber dingies leaving Calais for Dover.

The French do care, they want them off their soil asap and they always have done, decades before Brexit existed.

We'll send them your way then Collusion between France and Scotland against England has been a fairly consistent theme for at least the last 400 years.

Hope you have figures to prove your claim. Why do some people continue to use the old chestnut 'Brexit' for just about everything that they don't agree with?

Plenty of sources to choose from. Here is one you might actually believe.

Brexits fault? For goodness sake, change the record.

Ever wondered why these illegal immigrants don't chose Germany, France, Spain etc as a safe haven?

Because in those countries you need an ID card, which makes it more difficult to stay hidden.
Because in those countries there is not such a large "black" industy and sweat shops.
Because they have family and friends in the UK. People (mostly) comming from former British colonies and no living legaly or illegaly in the UK.

Or is it because the UK has a more humanitarian attitude and approach despite them being allegedly illegal?

We both know one of the major reasons people voted for Brexit was because of illegal immigration.

Brexit made it worse.

You mean humanitarian approach like trying to send them to Uganda?
