The government reported yesterday that it plans to push Pattalung province in the southern part of Thailand into the world’s top 100 green or sustainable destinations by 2027. The Minister of the Tourism and Sports Ministry, Piphat Ratchakitprakarn, reported yesterday that his department and the Organization for the Development of Sustainable Tourism have a project to raise awareness of green or sustainable tourism in the Songkla Lake Basin Area in the southern part of Thailand. I have to admit, I don't know much about this province and what it has to offer. Would be interested it hearing any first hand accounts. Intrigued 🤔

I went to Phattalung for a few days not long before the corona lockdowns. It’s a quiet town with a nice night market, mountains on one side and a lake on the other. Very impressive cave temple complex walking distance from the town center. I’d go again.
