Cambodia is a poor country so it’ll be interesting to see how long before they default. The capital is run down and needs the money more than a highway to little China (Sihanoukville). It’s easy to see why China funded the road. It connects to their Chinese port.

Which connects to the new Chinese funded exspansions of Siem Reap airport and Phnom Penh airports currently managed by French interest Vinci but can see them forced out  in the near future when the Chinese demand control via investment, or they'll just bypass them totally until they get the hint and leave.

China owns the place and Hun Sen is just a Chinese lap dog.

Hard not to be a success if it's a road . If  a vehicle can drive along it then it's done its job......... success

Where it's worth the construction  cost is something  entirely  different of course.
