Hello

Me and a friend want to travel to thailand as tourist from dezember till february (78 days). We already bought our tickets (outward and return).

Can we get a tourist visa (60 days) and extend it locally at the immigration office to 90 days? I know this is possible but will we have a problem at the customs when we entering thailand because the time span between outward and return flight exeeds 60 days?

Or can we just explain to them, that we will extend it to 90 days as soon as we are in the country?

Would be nice if someone could help.

Thanks in advance

Daniel

They won't even ask you how long you will stay when you arrive. I'm not even quite sure if they'll give you a problem when you're leaving if you don't do an extension. Any local immigration office in any city will do that extension for approximately 2000 baht

They certainly asked me how long I was staying when I arrived in May
