"If you take all the able-bodied, working age people out of a village and leave only grandparents and children behind, then surely some kind of tragedy is foreseeable?"

 

What kind of misguided, horrible shyte, does this sentence imply?

 

It very strongly implies that because only grandparents are there, then they might somehow be responsible.

 

Does the writer have any idea at all, about rural life in Thailand?

 

If this was a minor accident, then maybe.

 

But after 38 dead, then no.
