In Rayong province, police raided a temple where Cambodian border hoppers were impersonating monks in order to collect money for drugs. Five fake monks were arrested at Wat Khao Bo Thong in the Klaeng district yesterday morning. Many others fled and got away. Residents became suspicious of the monks at the temple when they refused traditional alms like food and water and supplies, insisting that they only accepted monetary donations. buddhist committee, association should take a strong note of this and do a thorough scrutiny on all the ill happening to the religion.

in my opinion they should create an hotline so as such complaints are listened and investigated. 

It is  responbility of the religion to guard itself from all wrong doing so that the religion can bring good vibes to the followers and can grow.

Who manages the temple. What is the temple management has to say about this. If this has been going on for a long time, then for sure it might have caught the attention of those managing the temple

Simple solution - don’t give money to monks or temples. Isn’t there a rule about monks not handling cash?

A real (honest) monk would never insist in cash. Best to just stick to the traditional alms of food and drink.
