Thai reporters asked Deputy PM Prawit how he planned to prevent a similar scenario in the future. He said… “What can I do about it? He is a drug addict.” Prawit offered his condolences to the victim’s families, admitting that he did not expect this kind of tragedy to happen in Thailand but his response was pretty weak. What do you expect them to do? Just wave their magic wand and find all the crazy people who are going to snap. They don't walk around advertising they are going to kill people like this piece of garbage did. Not standing up for anyone but the RTP had fired and charged him last year and how do we stop these tragedies, don't know but wish there was a way.

For a start, if he was known to be a drug addict, take his guns away from him.

Apparently he had acquired them legally so the police would have known he possessed guns.

Whatever is said may be logic for some and not logic for some. Let us see from the positive side. May be he is right. It is the drug use and easily availability of weapons. Only tougher laws and strict enforcement can bring about the change. Is Thailand ready to enforce it with a total revamp of itself. Get rid of the sex industry altogether and give sever punishment for all those who are visiting Thailand for sex? Kick the butt of those who goes rampage on the streets with drugs and alcohols? Revoke and review all the drug laws? It is a long way to go.....May be already on a way towards no return path. Not only in Thailand...it is happening in many countries in the world.
