Not all the victims were apparently shot.

Many were stabbed to death, including the children of a classroom, who were asleep, laying on mats and sheets having a nap. He also stabbed his neighbour and two parents and child outside the school. The total dead so far 38.

I've witnessed some gruesome photos of the slain bodies, taken by police at the scene, but asked not to post these on social media sites as they'd be too distressing to friends and family members of the victims.

Careful with those photos.  It may be illegal to share crime scene photos.
