The book, Confidence Man, written by Maggie Haberman chronicles Trump’s time as a New York businessman and life during and after his term as US President. Haberman said she interviewed Trump three times in the course of writing the book and conducted interviews with over 200 people. Tell a lie, make it a big one, and keep repeating it.  That is the mantra of the liberals because they fear Trump.  You never hear the media tell of the the good things Trump has done.

Over the last several decades, Trump has given generously to heroes, the sick, and those in need. While the liberal media would have you believe that Trump is a virulent racist, it should be noted that a majority of the individuals who were recipients of these acts of kindness were racial or ethnic minorities.

In 1986, a Georgia farmer, whose farm had been hit by a severe drought, committed suicide in hopes that his life insurance policies would pay the mortgage. Unfortunately, the life insurance money was not enough, and even selling parts of the farm did not raise enough money. Consequently, the farmer’s 66-year-old widow, Annabel Hill, faced a second devastating loss. Trump found out about the situation, called the bank, delayed the auction of the farm, and contributed tens of thousands of dollars to pay the mortgage. Then he flew Annabel and her family to New York for a ceremonial burning of the mortgage papers at Trump Tower. Afterward, he checked in with her from time to time. Thanks, in part, to Trump’s intervention, Hill’s grandchildren were able to grow up on the farm.

In 1988, the parents of Andrew Ten, a 3-year-old Jewish boy with a rare medical condition, requested Trump’s help with flying him from Los Angeles to New York for treatment. Due to the medical equipment that Andrew needed to keep him alive, commercial airlines were unwilling to accommodate him. Trump agreed to help and dispatched his plane. The boy’s grandmother was very grateful and called Trump a “miracle.”

In 2000, Megan, an 11-year-old girl with Brittle Bone Disease, went on television in hopes of finding a friend. After learning of the girl’s situation, Trump wrote a check for the girl and her mother.

In 2008, Jennifer Hudson’s mother, brother, and nephew were murdered by the ex-husband of Hudson’s sister. Trump let Hudson and some relatives stay for free at the Trump International Hotel and Tower.

In 2013, Trump personally presented a $25,000 check for the Slam Jam Women’s Basketball Classic to Clyde Frazier Sr., who was running the tournament. Frazier’s son, Clyde Jr., had founded the Harlem basketball tournament before being killed in the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center. Several years after Clyde Jr.’s death, the tournament fell on hard times. But the elderly Frazier kept working to keep his son’s dream alive, and Trump assisted with that effort. In fact, Trump’s contribution accounted for nearly two-thirds of the nonprofit’s revenues for the year.

The same year, Darnell Barton was driving a Metro bus in Buffalo, New York when he noticed a young woman who was about to jump from an overpass onto an expressway below. The former volunteer firefighter stopped the bus, got out, helped the woman back over the railing, and then sat with her until a counselor arrived. For Barton’s good deed, Trump wrote him a check for $10,000 as well as a letter in which he wrote, “Your quick thinking resulted in a life being saved and for that you should be rewarded.”

In 2014, U.S. Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi was unfairly imprisoned in Mexico for seven months. Tahmooressi had been wounded in Afghanistan; his injury caused him to suffer from directional dysfunction. While in Southern California for treatment, he made a wrong turn and wound up at the Mexican border where he was arrested due to Mexico’s draconian gun laws. After the Obama Administration did far too little to free Tahmooressi in a timely manner, Trump wrote Tahmooressi a check for $25,000 to help him get back on his feet.

In 2016, severe flooding hit Louisiana. Trump gave $100,000 to a local church to help with relief efforts.

In 2017, during his first presidential trip to Israel, Trump met with 14-year-old Emilee Imbar. She had battled cancer for seven years and badly wanted to meet a US president. Although his stay in Israel was brief and his schedule was packed, Trump found time to chat with the young girl about her health and what it is like being president. She thanked Trump, and he wished her well.

That same year, Chris and Jessie Baldridge lost their 22-year-old son, Army Cpl. Dillon Baldridge. Dillon was killed while serving in Afghanistan. Trump subsequently called Chris Baldridge to express his condolences and promised to send the family a $25,000 check, which he did. Trump also sent the family a letter of condolence.

Also that year, Hurricane Harvey hit Texas and Louisiana causing severe damage. Trump gave $1 million to 12 nonprofits to assist with their hurricane relief efforts. Among the 12 organizations were the Red Cross, the Salvation Army, Samaritan’s Purse, Habitat for Humanity, Operation Blessing, Catholic Charities, and the Houston Humane Society.

Trump has a big heart, and these stories are proof of that. Because the liberal media is bent on attacking and defeating Trump, it is up to conservatives and Trump supporters to counter the liberal narrative and make certain the public knows the truth about the President instead of just the left’s negative narrative.

Yes, it IS all a conspiracy against Trump propagated by the ten-foot tall Lizard People who secretly run the planet. Obviously, Trump singlehandedly might expose them for what they really are and then the planet would revolt; the Clued-In Human VS. Giant Lizard People war would be a battle for the ages and dwarf all other wars.

Realistically though, even with the role that Trump would play in (potentially) saving all of humanity, it is clear that even he couldn't do it alone. What is needed, and what all informed humans must do, is facilitate contact between Trump and the Plucky Subterranean Mole People. Only Trump could negotiate a deal to have The Plucky Subterranean Mole People enter the battle on our side.

My fellow humans, the Giant Lizard People VS The Plucky Subterranean Mole People war has been raging across the cosmos for eons, and sadly we have been caught up in it. It is time that the masks were removed and the Stinking Lizards were tossed off this planet for good, and Trump is the man to do it.

But somehow it is only Trump that is focused on as racist.  Tell me how much Joe Biden has ever personally donated to black causes.  How many financial rewards he has ever dispensed to a black person for an act of bravery.

Anything about Trump from a journalist has to be assumed to be biased until proven otherwise, given the contempt with which he held them, instead of the fawning respect that members of their noble and honourable profession are entitled to. In the same way that the establishment wants to make an example of Trump (to the point of running the risk of making a martyr out of him) for the benefit of any other outsiders that are thinking of gatecrashing their private party. Trump is a fool, the Trump presidency may have been a political nightmare for many Americans - but for the rest of us Trump and Biden have been pure comedy.

Perhaps at one time journalists were not biased and reported the events of the news.  Today, they put their spin on the events and tell the viewers/readers what to think.  That is not news reporting that is propaganda.  In recent years you have had people like Dan Rather fabricating information on George W. Bush.  You have the very deliberate silencing of the media on stories like the Hunter Biden laptop while at the same time pounding the Russia Collusion hearings which were a hoax and certainly proven that the famous dossier was ochestrated and paid for by the DNC and Hillary Clinton.

The media today has turned into the PR arm of the Democrats.  It carries the water that the political powers feed it every day.  It use to be that media would fact check before publishing a story.  Like when Harry Reid said that Mitt Romney paid no taxes.  It was false, but the media ran it knowing it was a damaging headline and only later was it shown to be baseless.

One thing is for sure.  They hate Donald Trump and perhaps fear him.  They have run negative stories about him almost non-stop since he first announced his candidacy.  Even now he is not in office and they don't print the negative aspects of the current administration.  They run mud slinging against Trump.  I guess when you can't come up with anything good to say about the current adminsistration the only strategy is to slander your potential opponent.

Correct,

You notice they don't ever talk about the Clinton slurs nor the many Biden racially insensitive comments.  They also don't report Trumps  many charitable donations to black causes, his giving a reward to a black bus driver for an act of heroism, his dating of a black woman, nor his lawsuit against the city of Miami forcing them to allow Jews and Blacks into the country clubs.  They slander the man without giving the full context.  Biden praised Robert Byrd called him his mentor and lamented the world would have been better if Byrd had been president.  The media does not dwell on that story even though Byrd was a member of the KKK.

Exaggerated comments like this are twisted out of context.  It is an innocuous comment made about rookies. It is indeed tradition for rookie politicians to bring the coffee for their first meetings with  colleagues. It's no different than other longstanding practices where the junior judges on the higher courts in the western world assume some entertaining obligations for their fellow judges.  These are traditions meant to smooth the entry of newcomers and to break the social ice. It must be quite a shock to some if they find out that some of the US Congress members, and UK/Canada MPs  bake cookies  for their colleagues.

Yes, the late Senator had been a former member of the Klan while still a young  man. what matters more is what he did about the membership and what the people hurt by the Klan had to say.

- Byrd later renounced his membership to the organization and condemned the organization.

- Byrd expressed regret for his earlier views  on the 1964 Voting Rights Act.

- In his 2005 memoir wrote;  “I know now I was wrong. Intolerance had no place in America. I apologized a thousand times … and I don’t mind apologizing over and over again. I can’t erase what happened.”

You judge a person based upon an error made in youth and ignore the regret and attempt to correct the harm done. The NAACP described Byrd as follows;  “Senator Byrd reflects the transformative power of this nation. Senator Byrd went from being an active member of the KKK to a being a stalwart supporter of the Civil Rights Act, the Voting Rights Act and many other pieces of seminal legislation that advanced the civil rights and liberties of our country”.

The difference with Trump is that Trump never admits when he is wrong and never willingly corrects the damage from the wrongful act. There is no remorse with Trump.

I agree 100%, don't go by what a journalist would say

It's much easier to just go by his own racist statements.........

Although I am sure you will find a way to refute his actual words too!

Telling POC to go back to their own country(3 of them are from the US)..........

“So interesting to see ‘Progressive’ Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world,” Mr. Trump wrote on Twitter, “now loudly and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run.”

Mr. Trump added: “Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it is done.”

Calling Elaine Chao "Coco Chow"

  "his China-loving wife, Coco Chow."

Now that is funny.  So when Clinton said that a "couple of years ago" he would have been getting us coffee?  Now tell me, when would Obama ever been a "rookie" politician serving coffee to Kennedy and Clinton.  Plus the comment was "a few years ago" Not when Obama was first in the Senate.

Now tell me, Vigo  how you would spin this one. That this was somehow a Clinton compliment?

So using your liberal logic, Trump donates to Black causes and is given an award by people including Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton.  Trump donates a "reward" to a black man for saving another life.  Trump dates for two years a black woman.  Trump starts and wins a suit in Miami demanding that blacks and jews be allowed into the country clubs but that is racist and somehow Trump should apologise for that.

Yet Biden jokes about you have to have an Indian accent to go into a 7/11 or dunkin donuts.  He opposed bussing saying he didn't want to turn schools into racial jungles, he says that "poor kids" are just as smart as white kids.  He slurs Mexican americans by saying they don't want to get Covid vaccinated because they are afraid they will be identified and deported. When Biden slashed back at a black reporter who asked if Biden had taken a cognitive test asking if he was a drug addict. And he praised Robert Byrd calling him his mentor even though Byrd was a KKK member and segregationist but somehow all of thoses "are forgiven"

That is hypocritical.  Trump "demonstrated" through actions long before he ever considered running for president his financial support, and personal relationships, and suing to defend minorities.  By contrast Biden has no such history but does have a history of racially insensitive comments regarding Blacks, Mexicans, and Indians.  But then he is liberal so you will forgive him for those minor transgressions.  Trump was celebrated by the liberal community before he ran for president and no such accusations of racism.  Only after he announced his candidacy as a Republican did the smear campaign start.

Maggie should be shamed into giving back their Pulitzer for the Hillary Clinton made up Russia Russia hoax !

They, dems and their activist left media  reporters help contribute to the political divide. She and a few others are activists pretending to be journalists!

Her book is for the far left imop. Its Because of people like this that have a license to promote the “ sources said “and “unnamed sources” that have ruined journalism.

She’s reporting propaganda, the left uses this to get at Trump and alike its a real tragedy but soon it will be reckoned with by a midterm election trouncing ! I would love to see her in front of a J Jordan committee .imop

No need to spin. An event was twisted out of context to meet the needs of a political agenda. If some people have a limited understanding of the concept of sarcasm, there isn't much one can do.  In this case, Senator Clinton was being interviewed by Kara Swisher. Swisher confused, Cory Booker  and Eric Holder. Both of these men are friends of  Senator Clinton, and the Senator had a working relationship with both of them .  Senator Clinton's response with a frustrated sigh was the sarcastic comment that Afro American politicians all look the same to some people.  She was  correct.  Only certain groups attempted to make an issue out of this.  Some media outlets did report this event accurately;

Hillary Clinton mocks host for confusing two black people: 'I know, they all look alike' The host confused Eric Holder with Cory Booker.   https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/hillary-clinton-black-people-look-alike-interview-comment-cory-booker-eric-holder-a8609621.html

It is you that is blinded.  Biden has made repeated racial slurs, openly opposed school integration yet because he is liberal it is excused.

As a Brit, I watch in despair when I see the only choices the US had was Trump or Biden and the flock of dull and unimpressive politicians the U.K. had to choose from.

I found Trumps style often embarrassing, though I found myself agreeing with many of his underlying policies.  However, for many people, Trump could have found a cure for Cancer and people would still dislike him

Trump, like Brexit, was a cry for help. The silent majority are sick to death of the constant liberal wing agenda being rammed down people’s throats.

In my country, nearly every TV advertisement has to have its mixed race couples, its single mum or dad and its gay couple all out shopping for furniture or buying life insurance. It’s totally unrepresentative of the ethnic and social mix within the country. For the first time, people who are tired of this nonsense had an opportunity to express it. Until the liberals stop closing down debate and the California elite who run Twitter and Facebook stop cancelling people, these events will continue to happen. France got close and Italy have just elected a right wing PM. Trump was a voice. Not a particularly eloquent voice, but far better than a cancel culture void.

I agre with all of that

Some of the stuff that is being pushed is just too much and the extreme left pushes a moderate to the right(well center right)

But sorry all of that goes out the window when the guy tries to overthrow democracy

It's sort of the only factor that matters at that point

And although I actually don't disagree with a lot of conservative policies(immigration, tough on crime) Trump had absolutely no clue what he was doing

Show me any interview where he us asked to expound on policy and he can't, it's all a word salad

I agree Trump had no idea what he was doing. He was a total loose cannon. But if no mainstream politician will stand up and say things are wrong, then these loonies will get the vote. That’s what the Liberal left don’t understand. If you keep on with the cancel culture. If you keep on with the mantra that any question about immigration is racist, then next thing you know the US or the U.K. vote in a modern day Adolf Hitler. Talk to people and find a way forward. Cancel them and you encourage nut jobs.U.K. ultimately you can not stop what’s wrong
