Never one for last-minute planning, the Thai government has announced just this afternoon plans for a month-long Colourful Phuket Festival launching tomorrow to welcome tourists back in the Phuket Sandbox that has been planned for months. What? Are they serious?? Dont answer that. 

Can someone please tell them to focus on keeping the island free of covid and the few tourists likewise. If they somehow get that done for a month and the numbers increase, then definitely have a celebration in August.

Are the festivals for the tourists as they could name each festival after the tourists on the island, is it 28 events?
