UPDATE The two Thai ridgeback dogs, which were said to have been abandoned by a foreign owner in Chiang Mai, were adopted by a Thai family. The dogs will be moved to a new home in the nearby province of Lampang. How is this news worthy? Do you actually live in Thailand? Have you seen the streets in practically every neighborhood in every province? 
 

thai people do this on a daily basis, the dogs are either left to fend for themselves on the streets or dumped at the nearest temple

just because a foreigner has neglected his pets it becomes newsworthy.

Not condoning what he did, just don’t think it’s news worthy unless they are going to publish an article every time a thai person does the same thing

Guess there is a limit even Thai people wont accept when even the locals are feeding them and report him.

As a guest in the country maybe they expected a higher standard from him than from those around him.
