Well already been there, but now I will permanately cross Singapore off my list if they are subjecting folk to random pee tests. As long as someone does not partake in anything and does not bring it with them then thye should F-Off. Only thing I would go back and do is see Universal studios with my kids.

look at this rule:-

 

“(Under) the Misuse of Drugs Act, any Singapore citizen or permanent resident found to have consumed controlled drugs outside Singapore will also be liable for the drug consumption offence.”

 

That means that in future no thai citizen can enter singapore, because most of them would have consumed any of the ban substance in thailand, if  any one who visited thailand and consumed any of the banned substance in thailand during their stay, singapore will book them for " Liable for drug consumption offence "

Such an advanced country, and yet, the rules are as if someone made them up in the 1700s.

The moment I enter a country and the first thing they do is to hand me a cup to pee in, I'll be sure that was the last time I've visited that country.

Agreed, except it's doubtful it was unknowingly. Anyone with 2 brain cells would connect a ganja leaf sign on the menu with the fact it has, well, ganja in it. Surely Thailand's legalization of it has been widely featured in the news there, so it's not like tourists are coming unprepared - she probably knew what it is and wanted to try it, then after the fact claims she "didn't know". Backwards rationalization in full effect.

Well, going on the news about it would be a good start. Not sure if she did because she got caught, or because she was scared she will get caught. Or as you said maybe it's just govt propaganda to scare others from trying it.
