Heavy rain is coming to the North today and tomorrow ... then we'll likely get more via Noru's aftermath from midweek on.

We had a monster dump over Chiang Mai yesterday and the system brought already swollen creeks and rivers to bursting point.  I know some residents in our low-lying areas have moved furniture upstairs already and I'd suggest anyone in Central and Bangkok flood-prone areas to do similar.

NORU has quickly intensified to a dangerous CAT 4 TYPHOON.

Presently tracking west across  southern Luzon.

If track unchanged it will mean landfall in central Vietnam.

Expected to weaken some but still forecast to accelerate west after passing the Philippines.

Forecast CAT 3 with central winds 100/125 knots when crossing Viet coast late 27th:

Looks like heavy rain with maybe 50 knots winds for the east (Ubon area) by Wednesday.

Take care.
