Not sure if it is still referred to as "eletronica" today, but back in the day that is what it was called, Were some pretty popular songs, some others were used in adds on TV some slid by the wayside.

Was basically songs using an electric synthesizer to create the beat/rythem, Gary Numan was a pioneer in this form back in the 1970's

Was usually the last song at the local disco, if not this one than it was this other Donna Summer song ie>

Simple Minds is still touring, this song was from their 1981 album, Kinda techno but most of their music is new age pop/rock.
