The lieutenant has been ordered to conduct a blood test for possible alcohol and drug abuse. The test results are undergoing.

Ordered to have a blood test, today or tomorrow.

A breathalyzer test is against the clock as the levels drop roughly one unit per hour (e.g. 5 hours / 5 drink units etc) but hopefully the blood test even delayed should still come up with a fairly accurate result as they can backtrack by the hour to get a reading at the time of the accident.
