In the Northeastern province of Bueng Kan, billboards have been appearing promoting Caretaker Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan. One recently spotted sign in the province’s main city of the same name along the Laos border came with a note attached asking authorities to go easy on them for erecting the billboard, possibly skirting payment and regulations. The sign features a large image of Prawit wearing a Covid-19 face mask with messages about a conservation project he had previously visited in the province. The billboard talked about watershed forest conservation and bore the logo of the Palang Pracharath Party that Prawit now […]

"The sign seems to be one of many placed around the region touting local projects that the government has aided or campaigns the government promoted. Each features Prawit and the Palang Pracharath Party logo as well as info about the different projects they supported.

But this sign had a smaller notice attached at the base of the billboard that attracted extra attention. It requested special kindness from the highway department in allowing them to use the public land to make a giant billboard promoting Prawit apparently for free. The note also requested a tax exemption for the billboard when normally the Bueng Kan municipality would impose a signboard tax."

This story is nothing but an outrageous slur on the good character of the Deputy PM.

He should be woken up immediately and informed of the situation.

Nothing of the sort!

I think it is criminal to see our Great General being criticized when everyone knows that he puts the people first; the man is so kind that he even, at no benefit to himself, protected his dead friend's watches from potential harm.

In this case, the people might be confused and not know who to credit for government/taxpayer-funded projects, and so out of the kindness of his heart our Great General takes credit so people can give thanks more easily and simply. Moreover, our Great General, who is eternally thinking of new and better ways to serve people, is trying not to pay tax on his advertisements so that he doesn't overwork the poor souls at the Bueng Kan Municipal office. Have a heart; there are times when government workers at government offices plow through at least 2-3 hours of work a day, neglecting their friends and family on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Finally, our Great General is selflessly acting as temporary Prime Minister to help a friend and not because he is fulfilling a dream which began years ago with coups; in all honesty he is selflessly removing the agony of self-determination from the people so as to not cause them stress.

I am annoyed that many here don't see the sacrifice; the Great General works so hard that he has to sleep whenever possible, be it Cabinet meetings, public functions, or any other time he is selflessly performing his duties.

Shame on all of you.
