A Pit Bill mauled and seriously injured its owner – who named it “Nazi” – in Nakhon Ratchasima province in northeast Thailand. At 2pm yesterday, Korat rescue workers were called to a two-storey house on Soi Thaekingphon 5 in Mueang district, where they found the dog’s 60 year old owner Supaporn seriously injured and lying in a pool of blood on the concrete floor outside. “Nazi” bit Supaporn in the neck and and upper arm causing “gaping wounds” which bled heavily. She was given first aid to stop the bleeding and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Supaporn’s husband […]

I wonder how many times the owner said 'Nazi wouldn't hurt a fly, he was only playing', however the owners are thinking of changing its name to Göring now.

There must be a law to control on the breeding or import of this type of animals. "Pit Bulls" are ment for fierce fighting. It cannot be tamed at all. Eventually it will show its colors

Moral of the story? Don't mess with the Nazis I guess?

Moral of the story is that one cannot trust a pitbull. Amazingly enough, there are some gullible people who think they can master unpredictable monsters.

And when they're in the hands of people with no clue what they're dealing with, they're not only putting themselves in danger, but anyone thats unlucky to be near it.

I love dogs, I have 3 myself, but I would always steer clear of Pit Bulls and Rotties.  They are fine, until they are not. Buy a hunting or attack dog and that's what you get.  I have 3 Shih Tzu's;   they are lap dogs, lazy as F.. and as dumb as a brick.  They are excellent companions.

Good. I hope she survives, with lasting scars all over her body. And perhaps missing an ear or such. Just imagine it was some 4 year old child that was attacked?

Sadly they usually attack children.

Should cross breed them with pit bulls and get Bull Shih Tzu's.  😂

(Old but still valid.)

Owned and bred APBT since the late 80s. Had 13 dogs at one time Never ever had a problem. Never experienced anything like you described. APBT are most closely related to the Staffordshire terrier one of the friendliest breeds on the planet. I have met people that share your opinion some of them know nothing about dogs and even less about dogs they call "pitbulls" and wouldn't be able to identify the breed anyway.

Like any dog they require proper raising and socialisation in early years. And even though I love Thailand I find Thais generally to be some of the worst dogs owners I have ever experienced. Anyone who has spent any amount of time in Thailand would know that to be self evident. The majority of Thais should be banned from dog ownership entirely IMHO.

So many ignorant comments. I grew up with a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and it was the friendliest dog - never attacked a human. It did attack dogs, but NEVER humans and pitbulls rarely do unless they are specifically trained to and/or are being abused. It wouldn't be far fetched to guess that someone who named a dog "Nazi" would be prone to mistraining and abusing it. Very possible that the dog is the real victim here.
