After a cannabis bill aimed at moving the decriminalisation away from recreational use and defining it for medicinal purposes only was shot down this week in the House of Representatives, Minister of Public Health Anutin Charnvirakul insists that recriminalising the drug is out of the question. Not necessarily. I do believe he is growing it, though, and profiting that way. A politician profiting from legislation? Nah, doesn't happen, right?

Still in the initial faddish craze phase so it's in your face, on the agenda, and leaders need to be seen as 'leading'.  If they just left it alone the hype will fade away, and we could get on with squabbling about the next non-crisis.
