Back in the 1990's and into the 2000"s we used to have musicians come on stage and play their music live and unplugged from any sound altering computers, It was mostly shown a TV show called MTV Unplugged.

My favourite Unplugged concert is Alice in Chains, 1996. Layne Staley was in bad shape at the time, caught in a downwards spiral of addiction and depression which would lead to his untimely death six years later.

But for this gig, he gave everything he had and the band, although they had not played together in a long time, delivered an outstanding performance. Metallica were in the audience.
