A 23 year old Thai activist has been sentenced to two years imprisonment for royal defamation, under Section 112 of the Criminal Code, for attending a protest in traditional Thai attire. Her catwalk show was interpreted by royalists as “mocking” H.M. Queen Sirikit, the queen mother of Thailand. Strange how the plaintiff is never named, or questioned.

They could be right nutters, living in their own dream world and getting people put in jail for possible misguided interpretations of everyday life events.

That's how oppression survives... it's your friends and neighbors you have to be wary of.

So no freedom of speech or dress here then! I would think that it was a good representation of how stylish Thai women can be dressed in a more traditional manner! I thought she looked lovely  😉
