This is not the first time a noise dispute has ended with violence in Thailand.

If the arguments were about too low volume I'd believe it. Thai ears are completely resistant to noise, you can literally put a jackhammer next to someones ear and they wouldn't notice it.

Annoying Thai habbits: 1.litter the environment,2. loud noise(e.g. music? from cars parked in front of houses in small sois, on the beach, neighbours , running engines etc) 3.regarding foreigners as " Melking Cows", 4. Unawareness of danger. 5.Not being able to solve problems through communication.
