The Saga of 'Fat Leonard'

The Saga of "Fat Leonard"

Members might have seen references to this story over the years; the short version is that a Malaysian businessman nicknamed "Fat Leonard" bribed a bunch of US Navy officers to get information on naval movements so that he could sell the US Navy stuff when they were in port. It has been called the worst security breach in the US Navy's history.

He/they were caught, eventually, and put on trial, but it seems that Fat Leonard has done a 'runner', which I find ironic for a guy nicknamed 'Fat Leonard'; couldn't someone have chased and caught him?

I have a hunch that we will hear much more about this in the future...

Leonard Glenn Francis ("Fat Leonard")[2] bribed a large number of uniformed officers of the United States Seventh Fleet with at least a half million dollars in cash, plus travel expenses, luxury items, and prostitutes, in return for classified material about the movements of U.S. ships and submarines

Prostitutes are always the downfall of western men
