So, in conclusion, Thais are OK with another military junta appointed PM, and therefore waiting 8 more years for the possibility of a  democratically elected PM? Because that's what they will likely end up with.

Poll based on pintpointed demographics to have a certain end result. Extremely hard to impossible to believe. So nothing changes is what is being said.

Yes but will the Thai people ever get the chance to vote for the PM of their choice or is another military goon going to be placed in the position ?

In relation to the rest of the world, it is common in many countries to have to pick the lesser worst candidate whenever they want a change. 
It sure was in the US and on a few other recent elections in Europe.
